The Idea to scale KNEWT up is Stuart Rolf's idea. He wants a large scale version with power to carry a payload (himself).
The panel with the image is 6' tall. The original Knewt is barely 11", and is barely visible on the left. The bot in the middle is scaled to 400% making it about 44" to the top of it's head. The third model is scaled at 600% to make it 66"
The idea is to use the basic style of Knewt to outline the placement of pivot points and balance features, but redesigning to accomodate larger and stronger bearings and actuators.
Hydraulic has been suggested, and we will be meeting with a hydraulics expert next month to discuss the subject.
Suggestions?
